Noah and Laine met while playing in an adult kickball league with mutual friends in Winston-Salem, NC in 2022. From dinner after kickball games to trivia nights at local breweries, it was obvious they were smitten. While Laine toiled through night shifts at Brenners Children's Hospital as a pediatric nurse and Noah navigated working and living in Winston-Salem, Noah's love for Boone, Laine's dog, really blossomed when he picked him up after work so Boone wouldn't be alone all night. As eveyone knows, Boone has to like you before Laine can and Noah quickly became Boone's favorite! When Noah had the opportunity to return to Danville to work with his Dad in 2023, Laine jumped at the chance to move to Danville to start a new chapter in her life with Noah. And the rest is now history! As both sets of parents like to say - "Thank God for Kickball!"
