12+ miles of hike and bike trails just south of downtown and one of our favorite things about Austin. There are multiple entrances and loops, but we'd recommend Twin Falls/Sculpture Falls (3918 S. Mopac, close to our neighborhood) and Spyglass (1500 Spyglass, across the street from a Taco Deli for pre- or post-hike fuel).

Laidback lunch with great burgers, sandwiched between Deep Eddy Pool (another spring-fed swimming pool open to the public) and Deep Eddy Cabaret, famous/favorite dive bar on Lake Austin Boulevard.
Asian/barbecue fusion - amazing food and a great patio with TVs for any sports fans.
Fun dinner spot in the Proper Hotel downtown with a great bar (and happy hour). If Peacock is too crowded, try La Piscina on the 5th-floor pool deck.
Upscale Mexican downtown, where we celebrated our engagement!
A short Uber ride from downtown, worth both the food and the view from the patio.
Great Mexican food and margaritas with a rooftop patio.
Rooftop bar of the LINE Hotel with great views/drinks/snacks.
