We are getting Married!

Once upon a time, on a warm August evening in 2018, at a Mountain View football game, Laine found herself sitting alone beside her cousin Baylor, surrounded by his wrestling friends. She had been left behind by her friends, but little did she know, this moment would mark the beginning of something special. As the night went on, Ethyn, always the one with a spark of bravery, approached Laine. With his usual charm, he started a conversation, but Laine wasn’t in the mood for small talk. Sensing this, Ethyn didn’t push her to engage. Instead, he simply sat nearby, giving her space while still keeping her company. Baylor, ever the trickster, grabbed her phone and, with a mischievous grin, took a selfie with Ethyn, a photo Laine would come to cherish forever (attached below). After that night, Ethyn turned to Baylor and asked,” so, who’s the pretty girl you’re talking too?” Baylor replied,”Gross man, that’s my cousin.” Ethyn then responded with a playful “ooohoo”(while nudging Baylor’s shoulder) Then, on October 18th 2018, Laine received a call from Baylor inviting her to a group date at Vertuccio’s farm for a corn maze and pumpkin carving. When she asked who would be going, Baylor casually mentioned Ethyn. With a grin, Laine replied, “The cool one?” To which Baylor laughed, saying, “Yes.” After the call, Ethyn turned to Baylor and said, "OooOooo I'm gOing to bE your CoUsin," sharing a goofy look and erupting in laughter. The evening turned out to be special. Laine couldn’t help but tell her friends the next day, “That was the best date I’ve ever been on.” She also met some of the best friends she could ever ask for, including Trevor Riches, Andrew Deblemar, and Cody Clarkson. From that moment on, Laine and Ethyn’s story began to unfold. They shared laughs at Heritage Sadies and danced at Mountain View Prom. But Laine found herself struggling with emotions. She felt an undeniable spark with Ethyn but wasn’t ready to face the depth of her feelings. There was hesitation, fear, and uncertainty. Over time, overwhelmed by her insecurities, Laine broke it off with Ethyn. She disappeared, ghosting him, and said she didn’t want to talk anymore. For six months, there was silence. Both were left confused, feeling like their story was unfinished. Then, in January 2020, Ethyn sat Laine down and, with sincerity, told her, “I will always love you, no matter what form our relationship takes.” He reminded her she was important to Baylor, and that connection meant she’d always be important to him too. His words, spoken with love and devotion, broke down the walls Laine had built around her heart. Slowly, she realized how rare and genuine his commitment was. With her heart finally open, Laine’s indecision melted away. She knew they were meant to be together. By March 2020, their connection deepened, and they made it official, embracing the love they had both fought for. Six years to the day of their first date, Ethyn surprised Laine with a proposal at Vertuccio’s farm, a moment they will forever hold in their hearts.
