A few of our favorite hikes: Jordan Pond Shore Trail: an easy 3 mile flat walk around the Jordan Pond Bubble Rock: a moderate but quick mile-long hike with breathtaking views of Jordan Pond Champlain South Ridge Trail: a scenic, moderate 2-4 hour hike up to a gorgeous view of the Atlantic Great Head Trail: 1.5 mile, mostly flat, loop along the cliffs overlooking Sand Beach Cadillac South Ridge Trail: a strenuous 7.5 mile hike, nothing rivals the views at the top of Cadillac
There are a few wonderful ways to bike in Acadia! The Park Loop Road: A 27-mile loop that takes you through all of the park locations on Mount Desert Island! It is a beautiful way to see different parts of the park, including mountains, lakes and ocean views. The Carriage Roads: These are in the interior of the park and offer you gorgeous views and lots of tree coverage. They are crushed rock and a great way leisure activity. Summit Road: This takes you all the way to the top of Cadillac! A great option for experienced bikers as cyclists share a windy road with cars.
There are multiple options to get out onto the water! A few popular ones are: Downeast Windjammer Sail Cruises: a 151-foot sailboat takes you on a tour around the island Sea Princess: leaves from Northeast Harbor and gives you up close looks at seals and seagulls Sail Acadia: you can hop on a small sailboat with a bottle of wine and cruise around Northeast or Southeast Harbor
Bar Harbor is a very cute town with lots of shops, great restaurants and gorgeous views of the water. Take an afternoon and walk around the town, stopping for ice cream and souvenirs!
