Back in 2018, Ryan and Christina were both attending a small college tucked away in southwestern Michigan. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone… or so they thought. Somehow, even after an entire semester living in the same dorm building and sharing mutual friends, their paths never crossed. That all changed one February night during a freezing blizzard that emptied out campus. Christina had gone to a study group that afternoon where she met some new friends, one of whom was Ryan’s roommate, who went on to introduce the pair later that evening. The moment they saw each other, there was an instant connection, the kind that quietly tells you something special is about to begin. As a shock to nobody, they were both a little shy at first, but after that night, they couldn’t stop finding excuses to see each other again—late-night talks, quick coffee runs, and study sessions that turned into hours of laughter. The more time they spent together, the more it felt like they were exactly where they were meant to be. When the Valentine’s Dance came around a few days later, Ryan couldn’t stop thinking about Christina.
