Lahanna is from Dover, Tennessee, and Derek grew up in Jesup, Georgia. From different corners of the South, they each felt the call to leave home and follow Jesus, not knowing that obedience would lead them to each other. Their paths crossed at a ministry school in Griffin, Georgia, and it didn’t take long for a friendship to grow into something deeper. They quickly realized that life was just better together. From spontaneous road trips to long talks about calling and purpose, they discovered a connection that was rooted in faith and built on trust. Through every season—busy ministry days, quiet moments, and everything in between—they’ve learned how to love, serve, and grow as a team. Ministry is an important part of who they are, and now they get to walk in it side by side. Their story is one of saying “yes” to God, over and over again—and now, they’re saying “yes” to forever with each other.
