Ryan and Ali were set up on a blind date by Ali's co-worker at the time, who was sick of hearing her complain about her horrible dating life. "You and Ryan would be a great match - he's a gentleman and will treat you right. You would LOVE his sisters and family - you'll fit right in!" ...Low and behold, was he right. 8.20.2020 Their first date. Approximately 4 minutes into them meeting, Ali found out Ryan was only 23 (she was 26 at the time) and almost called off the date entirely (wanting an older gentleman) but after seeing his luscious mullet, she let it slide. They went to OreNells BBQ on Badgers Island where Ali nervously talked in circles about food & gardening and Ryan kindly took interest in her babbling. They then went to The Wilder in Portsmouth for a sweet nightcap and the rest is history. They quickly became inseparable, enjoying each others time and learning more about one another. They fell hard and fast in love, quickly moving in together. They put their relationship to an ultimate test of living in a tiny studio apartment in Kittery Point for 2.5 years. Spoiler, it made them stronger. Ryan was determined to buy a house and after lots of hard work, he finally got them their beautiful first home in Eliot, ME where they currently reside with their first fur baby; Chowder Clark who they love very much (even though Ryan "HATES" cats ;). 1.14.2024 The proposal. Fast forward to Ryan popping the question at Fort Foster (where they have many fond memories together) during a complete white-out snow squall, adding to the excitement of Ali of course saying, YES!!!
