Question

When is the wedding?

Answer

March 15, 2025 at 4PM

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. The dress code is dressy casual attire. Please no blue jeans or sneakers.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We will be having a child-free wedding. We love children (especially yours), but we’d like you to join in the celebration and enjoy a night off, so we’re requesting that the children be left at home with a sitter.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoor, weather permitting, the cocktail party will be on the covered patio, and the reception will be indoor with the outdoor, covered patio available. If it is raining or other unfavorable weather, we will pivot and host the ceremony indoors.

Question

When and how should I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP on this site and please send your acceptances or regrets by January 31, 2025.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

As you know, the weather can be very variable but overall the weather should be fairly comfortable to a little chill in the air as the sun goes down. Sunset is anticipated to be at 7:23PM. We recommend checking the weather and dressing accordingly.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have hotel blocks reserved at[Hampton Inn Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Hyatt Place Chapel Hill/Southern Village that can be found on the Travel section of this site. Please book your lodgings by the dates listed in the Travel section notes to receive the discounted rate.

Question

Can I park at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There should be plenty of parking to accommodate all of our guests but we recommend carpooling to be safe.

Question

Can I use a rideshare like Uber or Lyft to get to and from the venue?

Answer

Although these are a great option, the venue has informed us that it can be very difficult to get a pickup from the venue. We recommend pre-arranging your ride or carpooling to ensure everyone gets to and from the venue safely.

Question

When should I get there?

Answer

Please arrive by 4PM, there ceremony will begin at 4:30PM. We recommend you arrive no later than 4:15PM in order to allow you time to find a seat!

Question

What will we eat?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour with drinks and snacks after the ceremony, at 5PM, followed by the reception and dinner at 6PM.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Please let us know at lagatta.molnar@gmail.com if you have any specific concerns or allergies. Due to to the brides dietary restrictions, there will be plenty of gluten-free options available. We will work with our caterer to ensure that any concerns are taken care of.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

At the risk of my father disowning me, there will be alcohol! We will be serving wine and beer, as well as other non-liquor drinks and NA options. Please do not bring outside drinks or alcohol with you. North Carolina has very strict alcohol and liquor laws and we want to respect our vendors and our wishes.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately there is a limit on the guests we can invite and cannot accommodate a plus one for everyone. Please only bring the individuals listed on your RSVP. If you feel we left out someone important, let us know, but understand that our limitations may mean our hands are tied.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We have paid for a photographer to capture the ceremony and reception. We ask you turn off your electronics during our ceremony to ensure you are in the moment and not in the way of our photographers. Our officiant will give everybody an opportunity to capture pictures of the couple during the ceremony so that the rest of the ceremony is uninterrupted. Some of these photos will be posted on social media for viewing purposes. All the photos will be available for purchase once the couple has received the albums from their photographer. After the ceremony is complete and the wedding party has exited, you may turn on your devices and take pictures of whatever you wish!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Please use the "Wedding Registry" tab above to view our registry.

Question

Do I have to RSVP? Can't I just tell you I'm going to be there (or not)?

Answer

Yep, you have to. For the sake of our sanity, please use the RSVP link at the top. It is far easier for us than dealing with 50 forms of communication for RSVPing. If you are having issues with RSVPing online, please email us at lagatta.molnar@gmail.com

Question

What do I do if something changes and I can/can't make it after I have RSVPed?

Answer

We understand things come up. Just email us right away at lagatta.molnar@gmail.com so we can make changes.

Question

Answer

We will have a DJ and some form of dancing, it may be embarrassing but that is what you get when two scientists get married.

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

The parking area and paths throughout the venue and ceremony site are crushed rock/gravel. We recommend a sturdy shoe or stable heel to avoid tripping. Also, we want you to be comfortable (we don't need you to wear stilettos, you've met Monica, right?)!

Answer

We highly recommend you utilize Google Maps but if you are still having issues, please call The Barn at Union Grove for assistance at 1 (919) 265-3420

Question

Can I take home centerpieces, decorations, etc?
