Rebecca and Will met at a small bar in Jersey City. It was their first time meeting and Rebecca was so nervous that she walked right past Will. After a few rounds, they got to know each other well and didn't want to end the night there. So Will took Rebecca to his favorite dive bar around the corner. It happened to be karaoke night at the bar that night. Although Rebecca is not afraid to be on stage, she has a fear of singing on stage. Will ended up signing up for a song and sang a beautiful rendition of Billy Joel's New York State of Mind. The couple sitting at the bar next to them turned to Rebecca and said "Girl, you are so lucky! He is so cute and he sings!" to which Rebecca responded, "I know! This is our first date, I had no idea he could sing like that." To this day Will swears he never did karaoke before that night but wanted to impress his beautiful date.

Will and Rebecca, plus their friends Maureen and David, went down for a week in the Outer Banks. Will, prior to the trip, let David and Maureen in on a little secret that he was going to Propose to Rebecca. After getting Rebecca's parents' blessing, Will took a portion of a diamond ring from his Mom and recreated it into a new ring. Will had told Rebecca to bring a few pretty outfits for pictures at some scenic spots on the island. One of them was this gorgeous lighthouse in Corolla. Rebecca ADORES lighthouses so Will thought it would be a perfect spot. He had Rebecca take a few pictures in front of the lighthouse before he turned her around, got down on one knee, and asked "Would you like to go on a new adventure with me?" And well, you know the end of this story.
