It was looking like a Saturday night in for Maisie and another weekend out at the bars for Patrick. Insert the wild friends that were the reason we met that night. With some extensive convincing from Kelby, Mais caved and decided to go out with their friends. With an exclamation (!) text from Ant, Patrick hopped in an uber to leave one bar and meet him at the next. Off to Champs, the dive bar where drinks are cheap and teeth are missing from the crowd. Not quite the local watering hole for finding a soulmate. This was the pre-game bar before heading over to Whiskey Row for some intoxicated line dancing. Liquid courage mandatory for some of us, and what better way to get there than attempting a 2-beer waterfall right before you meet your future wife. (Luckily, Maisie missed that poor performance) Not long after coming up from air at the failed waterfall attempt does an attractive blonde come walking through the bar with her friends. Only problem was, she was wearing what appeared to be another boy's hoodie. As their eyes first met, they exchanged smiles at one another, and low-and-behold, she had all of her teeth. The instant attraction quickly had Maisie sending a message that she was single, by removing the boy's hoodie. After a victorious dap with Ant, realizing Patrick had his opportunity, he stood there frozen like a little bi*** and did nothing. Luckily Maisie had enough courage, and approached him asking to play pool. With the table in use, and shyness at an all-time high, the pickup tactic seemed to wear thin so it was time to head to Whiskey Row. Maisie agreed and said she'd meet out front in a few with her friends. After waiting what seemed like forever, standing there like a square, having not asking for her number, and now assuming she wasn't coming, Patrick took off to dance his sorrows away. However, not long after, Maisie ended up making her way to Whiskey and by the luck of it, happened to see Patrick, had the courage once more to approach him, give him her number before her quick departure and the rest is history.
