When do I need to RSVP by?

We kindly request that all guests submit their RSVP by May 1, 2026.

Is there a hotel block?

Yes! We’ve reserved rooms at the Oaklander Hotel and the Courtyard Marriott in Oakland. You can book our special rate using the links listed on the “travel” page of our website.

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available on site! You can park at the Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History for the entire day. It’s just a short walk to the ceremony, and is free to our invited guests.

While we love your kids, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating this special day with you!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love everyone to get dressed up in their best outfits for our big day! The dress code is black tie optional. Ladies can wear a formal floor-length dress or a cocktail dress. Gentlemen can wear a suit & tie or tuxedo.

Do I get access to the museum?

Answer

Yes, you’re welcome to explore the Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History on the day of our wedding celebration! The museum is open from 10 AM to 5 PM. Just let the front desk know you’re attending the Laffey-Schaub wedding that evening for free entry. Enjoy the art and exhibits!
