We met on Facebook Dating in March of 2024, and from the start, something felt real. Alphonse made the first move, and our early conversations came easy. There was a sense of warmth and comfort between us right away. One of our first memories together still makes us laugh. The first time we met in person, LaDonna showed up in baggy pants, and somehow that moment stuck with us. I thought she was trying to run me off. By May 2024, things had grown into something serious. We began building a life together through shared experiences and milestones. Our first trip was to California, followed by a trip to Cancun for her cousin’s wedding. In April 2025, we moved in together and continued taking steps forward as a couple. Our journey has included real challenges. Blending into a family dynamic came with adjustments, especially stepping into a father role. It was not easy at first, but through patience, faith, and counseling, we worked through it together. That process strengthened our bond and helped us grow as a family. What makes our relationship strong is how we support each other. We value growth, understanding, and standing together through change. There is a steady sense of trust between us that continues to guide our relationship. On October 1, 2025, we took another big step. The proposal took place at Eddie V’s in Houston. The evening started like any other, but soon turned into a moment we will never forget. With help from family, 36 roses and a “Marry Me” banner made their way into the room. As everything unfolded, he dropped to one knee. The reaction was a mix of laughter and tears, and it was perfect. On December 24, 2025, we were married in a small ceremony in New Orleans, officiated by her father. This celebration in Mexico is our opportunity to share that commitment with all of you. We are looking forward to building a long life together. Our goal is to create something of our own, to buy land, build a home, and live a life centered on faith, family, and peace. Life is short. Enjoy it. Stay grounded in what matters. We are grateful to celebrate this moment with you.
