We are not separating our "ceremony" from our "reception." Vows and exchanging of rings will take place after dinner and before dessert and dancing, roughly around 7pm.
Yes! Children of all ages are welcome to attend (per the preferences of their parents, of course!)
Same-day gifts are not expected. If you feel a spirit of in-person generosity that you just can't suppress, please bring a bouquet of sunflowers to add to the decor.
Given the urban location of the venue, we have not reserved a block of rooms at a specific hotel. We recommend booking accommodations somewhere in Northwest DC, or in Silver Spring or Bethesda Maryland.
Wear whatever you like. Vibes are bright and fun. The couple will be wearing "dressy casual" - the groom's suit has elbow patches and the bride is wearing bedazzled keds. We recommend footwear appropriate for standing/walking on a lawn. If you want to blend in with the decor, the wedding colors are dark teal, rusty orange, and sunflower yellow.
The window for arrival is wider than an average wedding (think more a "house party" rolling welcome!) We suggest arriving sometime between 5pm-6pm, and not later than 6:30pm.
There is no seated dinner. Food trucks will arrive at 5:30pm and depart at 8:30pm. Guests are invited to visit one (or both!) of the food trucks at their leisure. You may visit as many times as you like! We have over-ordered on the food, but eventually dishes may run out so if you want to make sure you get what you wanted, we recommend eating on the earlier end.
