💍 Our Love Story Our story began long before we ever imagined it would turn into this. We first met as kids at Thomas Edison Middle School—he was a football player, and I was a cheerleader. Back then, we never dated, but I definitely had a huge crush on him. Life took us in different directions, but somehow, we were always moving along parallel paths. We both ended up in Houston for college, just minutes apart in the Third Ward—he attended Texas Southern University, and I attended the University of Houston. Even then, our timing wasn’t quite right, and we still didn’t date. Looking back, it feels like life was preparing us for something greater. In 2008, I returned to our hometown during a season of transition, focused on rebuilding, growing my career, and raising my two beautiful daughters. Those years shaped me in ways I’m incredibly proud of. Then, in 2022—years later—our paths finally crossed again. Jermall was visiting his parents when we happened to meet at a party just down the street from their home. What started as a simple conversation quickly turned into something undeniable. We caught up, laughed, and before we knew it, we didn’t want to be apart. From that moment on, we’ve been inseparable. In 2023, I was offered a job in Houston and made the move—something that allowed our relationship to truly grow and flourish. Since then, we’ve built a life filled with love, partnership, and a deep sense of peace with one another. What started as a middle school crush has turned into a lifelong love. And now, as we look toward the future, one thing is certain—I can’t imagine my life without him. We’re so excited to begin this next chapter together and celebrate it with all of you.
