The Early Days: Lacie & Stu met in August 2013. Shortly after Stu asked Lacie on their first date where they ate at Grotto and walked around North Shore Park getting to know one another. They begin dating September 2013 and have been inseparable ever since. Some of Lacie's favorite memories include watching Stu on the football field or cheering from the sidelines of the basketball court. Stu loved watching Lacie grow in her diving career. They will forever cherish their high school memories such as homecoming and prom. They knew this was just the beginning of their journey together. Calling the Hogs: Next stop: Arkansas. Lacie and Stu were lucky enough to both attend the University of Arkansas where they quickly emerged themselves in greek life, began creating forever friendships and learned what it meant to "Call the Hogs". Fayetteville holds a special place in their heart and they hope to return one day soon. Woo Pig Sooie! The Real World: Two days after graduation Stu & Lacie head to Indiana to pick up their furry best friend, Lua. Next, they packed up and headed to their new home in San Antonio, Tx where Stu accepted his first job at BNSF Logistics and Lacie started to pursue her Master's degree in Speech Pathology. Not only did they now understand what real life was like, but also what it meant to live in a studio apartment with a rambunctious puppy. The Proposal: On July 17th, Stu asked Lacie to marry him where she of course said yes. He re-created their first date by taking Lacie to Grotto and then a walk at North Shore Park where their families were anxiously waiting. After many tears and pictures Lacie and Stu headed home where there was a unexpected celebration waiting with their closest friends who all traveled to share this special day with Stu and Lacie. Whats next? Once Stu and Lacie say "I do" they are eager to start the next chapter of their lives as The Filkowskis!
