We're Getting Married!

We first met way back in 2006 at Bojangles where we worked together. A friendship grew from our time there, and we kept in touch on and off throughout the years. In late 2018, we understood our friendship had grown into a romantic love and became an official couple.

Bill and LaCheryl decided to go on a "random" trip to Charlotte, North Carolina. LaCheryl had taken Bill to the National Whitewater Center there for his birthday, and Bill really enjoyed it. Bill is SUPER adventurous while LaCheryl is NOT, so Bill has made it his life's mission to rid LaCheryl of her fears. One of those fears being zip lining! Bill had enjoyed zip lining on his birthday trip, but LaCheryl couldn't get up enough nerve to join him, so he planned to try it again on this trip. LaCheryl promised to try with all her might to try zip lining, but even after suiting up with gear, as she and Bill began to walk up the high flight of stairs to the top, LaCheryl panicked. Her fear of heights overwhelmed her, and she cried to Bill telling him she just couldn't do it. A sad Bill went on, while LaCheryl had no clue Bill had planned to propose to her on the other side of the zip line. This caused Bill to have to think of another plan. The center hosted an ice staking event later that evening, so Bill decided he'd make a romantic scene by proposing on ice. Neither of them had ever gone ice skating before so the experience would be new. After a few trips around the rink holding on to the rails, LaCheryl decided she was ready to try out the center of the rink free of any assistance. How brave! Bill seemed nervous to meet LaCheryl in the middle as she motioned and called him to her. Finally, Bill made a shaky walk over and then "tripped" to one knee asking LaCheryl would she marry him. LaCheryl first asked were her parents aware of his request? She couldn't imagine saying yes without their blessing. Once Bill confirmed their yes, LaCheryl said yes! :)
