We're getting married!

They met online, and Lacey called almost immediately. She wanted to make sure Tyler was who he claimed to be, because she watches Catfish religiously. He was thrown off, but secretly liked it. They talked and video chatted for about a month, and both decided it was time to meet. Considering she lived in South San Francisco, and he lived in San Jose, they decided to meet in the middle. They agreed to meet up during Lacey’s lunch break in Burlingame. Tyler packed a little picnic for them to enjoy in the truck while they got to know each other. To this day she has never seen his truck so clean. Things went well and they continued to see each other on the weekends. Soon the weekend visits would turn into weekend stays. Eventually, she would be coming by on the weekdays as well. At one point, one of Tyler's friends made a comment stating, "must be getting serious if she is coming by on the weekdays." He was right! FAST FORWARD. They dated for a couple years, and during that time they shared many memories and hobbies. They took trips together including Hawaii, Mexico, Pennsylvania, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Arizona, and Reno. They also shared similar interests such as bowling, snowboarding, Sharks games, shark diving (her idea), gambling, tennis, and concerts. They decided to take the next step and move in together. This was a big move for Lacey because she was very family orientated and had never wanted to leave the nest. However, she knew in her heart it was the right move. After almost one year living together, they took another trip to Lake Tahoe. Just a normal trip (she thought). Tyler had bigger plans. They decided to go out and kayak on the gorgeous lake. It was a beautiful day, and the lake was as calm as it could be. Lacey decided she wanted to start paddling under the private boat docks. The first pass was smooth, no problems. After thirty minutes or so, the wind picked up, and the second pass under the boat dock caught them both off guard. THEY CAPSIZED! Lacey laughed it off and was more concerned with how to get back into the kayak. Tyler on the other hand was not a happy camper. Little did she know, he was planning to propose on the lake. He had the ring in his backpack, attached to the kayak. They managed to get back on the kayak and back to shore unharmed. He did not propose on the lake that day because of how the situation unfolded. The next day she wanted to take him out for breakfast, which is her favorite meal of the day. After breakfast they had some errands to run. Tyler wanted to randomly make a pitstop at the viewpoint where he asked her to be his girlfriend 3 years prior. She thought it was strange, but it was a beautiful day, so she liked the idea. Once they got up to the top of the mountain, she got out of the truck and waited for him as usual. She didn’t think anything of it, as Tyler usually takes his time. Little did she know, he was getting the ring out of the same backpack that was almost lost on the kayak trip the day before. They walked over to “their" spot and sat down next to each other. Lacey looked at Tyler and said, “I LOVE YOU!” He knew that this was his cue, the moment he was waiting for. He got up, stepped back, and looked into her in her eyes. Confused, she asked “what are you doing’? He expressed his love to her while she cried, and then he proposed. Spoiler alert, SHE SAID YES!
