Tanner and Lacey first met in high school. Lacey was a senior and Tanner was a freshman. It's safe to say sparks weren't initially flying but of course they became friends on social media. Fast forward about seven years, Tanner reached out to Lacey over Instagram (because what 21st-century love story doesn't involve sliding into DM's). He explained that he has always thought she is cute and would love to take her out to dinner. They began talking every day for about a month before their schedules could line up for that dinner date. In that time, they were texting and spending hours on the phone together in the evenings. Lacey has eyes so, obviously, she knew he was handsome, but she was excited about how much they had in common and how kind Tanner was. By the first date, they both knew this was something special and began officially dating about a week later.
