If you like craft beers this is where you go! This is one of our favorite breweries in the area. We loved to go on dates here after a long day of work or just to check out the newest local brew! They recently added a variety of liquors such as whiskey, vodka and mixed cocktails.
If you want a great meal or orange crush anytime of the day or night this is the place to go! It is busy in season with live music and great drinks. In the off season, they offer a low key place for locals to drink beside a fire pit, play beer pong and even have a claw machine for adults to play. This is also a great place for breakfast complete with a make your own Bloody Mary bar!
When Shawn lived down in Rehoboth, we visited this place frequently! We took advantage of their happy hour at the bar and their amazing martini's. If you like seafood this is the place to go! Their menu can be overwhelming, but there is something for everyone. A nice steak, fish or combine them for a great surf and turf.
Margaritas Margaritas Margaritas!! We love to head to this place when we want a great margarita and guacamole, but we get there when it opens cause the wait can be long! This place is knowmn for the freshness of their food and their margaritas-frozen or on the rocks you will not be disappointed. The food is made fresh for you! Be careful, the nacho appetizer can feed 3-4 people and make sure you venture and get the guacamole sampler. You will not be disappointed whatever you choose! They opened a second location on Coastal Highway. HEADS UP-they do not take reservations at either location.
Calling all history buffs!!! Henlopen is lucky to have access to the Cape Henlopen State Park. This park has a ton to offer. There are bike trails, hiking trails, wildlife to see (deer, birds etc) as well as history. Cape Henlopen was once a World War II coastal defense site. Take a tour of Battery 519, and climb to the top of the Observation Tower to discover the roles the towers played in the operation of Fort Miles.
A nice quiet vineyard located right off of Route 1 in Lewes. If you would like a quick quiet place to grab a flight of wine this is it. When you enter you see all of their orchards and come up to a brick building where they offer a tour on the way to get your tasting.
Enter into Rehoboth to have access to the boardwalk and plenty of restaurants. Take a drive or a walk to experience small local business, pick up some taffy, or have a meal. This place has so many options to eat, drink or shop, it is hard to make a decision. We love to visit this area in the off season when it is free of tourists and experience what the local area has to offer.
