Letchworth State Park
Letchworth State Park is called "The Grand Canyon of the East", and lucky for us, we are getting married right in the park, next to the Lower Falls waterfall! This park can't be seen in a day with its 14,000 + acres and 66 miles of hiking trails. Wander throughout the park to see the beautiful waterfalls, gorges, and landscape scenery by hiking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hot air balloon rides. Stay awhile and enjoy!
In & Around Letchworth
Besides hiking and simply enjoying nature, here are a few activities to do that are in and around Letchworth: Balloons over Letchworth - 45-60 minutes of breathtaking views for $285/person Humphrey Nature Center - a brand new center inside the park celebrating the geology, wildlife, and botany of your surroundings. Open 10-5 The Arcade and Attica Railroad - enjoy a 2 hour steam locomotive excursion into the countryside, departing out of Arcade (30 minutes outside park) Craft Breweries - three breweries located 20 to 45 minutes away at Amber Lantern Brewing Company in Warsaw, Silver Lake Brewing Project in Perry, and Windy Brew in Strykersville
The Finger Lakes
Some of the best wine and most beautiful views are found in the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York. Visit one winery or take a wine tour! The Conesus Lake is the closest to Letchworth, with approximately 30 minute drive.
Niagara Falls
Just a short 1.5 hour drive from Letchworth! Bring your passport if you want to visit the Canadian side.
New York
New York State is bigger than you think - NYC is a 5 hour drive from Letchworth but with SO many things to do and to see. I'd recommend taking a bus or train into the city unless you know how to navigate in The Big Apple
