FAQs

If you have questions other than what we have listed here, please reach out us!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st, 2022. Visit the "RSVP" page of this website to RSVP and reach out to us if you have any difficulties!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we absolutely love your children, due to the nature of our venue (multiple ungated pools and other potential hazards) we regretfully cannot accommodate children that are not in the wedding party. We hope you understand and enjoy your night off! If babysitting accommodations are needed, we are considering hiring a reputable babysitting service to watch the kids at a nearby location. Please let us know if you would like to utilize this offer for a set amount (TBD based on level of interest) per child.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors but there are shaded areas to stay out of the sun for all portions.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average morning temperature for Palm Springs in early June is around 70-75°F but by mid-day the temperature hits an average high of 85-95°F. As the sun sets at 7:45pm the temperature cools slightly to 75-80°F.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

SMART-CASUAL SUMMER ATTIRE: Wear sundresses, jumpsuits, separates, summer suits (no tie required), or collared shirts/slacks (no jeans please) in lightweight, breathable fabrics of any print, color, or hem length with grass-friendly footwear.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive around 15-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! Guests will be allowed into the space when doors open at 2:15 PM. The Ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM sharp, so please allow yourself time to park, enter the venue, find a seat, and get settled before the proceedings.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

FROM THE I-10 (EASTBOUND): Take Exit 111 for CA-111 toward Palm Springs. Continue on highway 111 (Indian Canyon Dr/Palm Canyon Dr) for approx. 16 miles. (There is a Boomers Family Fun Center on the corner of Cree Rd & Highway 111) Turn left (North) onto Cree Rd. Turn right (East) onto Carey Rd. the estate is at the end of Carey Rd. IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no parking available on the grounds, and street parking on Carey Rd is limited so we strongly suggest carpooling or using a rideshare service if possible. If you are driving your own car, please do not enter the driveway. Instead, find parking on Carey Road or nearby. GPS: google & apple maps work correctly via the physical address but if you are using waze, please enter "cree estate" as your destination. (Otherwise it may direct you to turn onto into El Dorado/East Canyon Plaza from the 111, which will lead you into a gated community and you will NOT have access to the venue from there).

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

There is no parking on the venue grounds, so please find parking on Carey Road or a nearby street and walk into the venue. Street parking on Carey Road is very limited so we strongly suggest using Uber or Lyft and/or carpooling.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you! (If you would like to bring cash to tip the bartender you are welcome to, but tipping is not required!)

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes, you will select your preferred option when you RSVP online. (if you have any additional dietary restrictions please let us know when you RSVP so it can be arranged with our caterer!) We plan to eat around 5 or 5:30pm.

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from my hotel/rental?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, but Uber or Lift are available in the area if you prefer not to drive!

Question

Can I take and post pictures on social media?

Answer

Yes, we just request that you tag photos with our wedding hashtag #HookLineAndStinker so we can enjoy them as well! However, we do ask that you PLEASE put your phones away during the ceremony. We love our photographers and we're paying them to take the pictures, so give your device a rest and be present with us in that important moment! Everything else is fair game!

Question

Are there any colors you would prefer me not to wear?

Answer

Please just try to avoid all-white bridal-style dresses. (All black or prints with a white base are totally fine!) No jeans please!

Question

When will the reception end?

Answer

The county has very strict noise ordinances, so unfortunately we must end the night at 10pm.

Question

I'm travelling from out of town, what is there to do in the area?

Answer

Please see our "Things to Do" page for lots of good references!

Question

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors, so at the time of this posting masks are not required. We trust our family and friends to be responsible, so we will not be requiring proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 tests to attend, but please wear a mask if you feel sick or uncomfortable without one. We are working to provide masks and sanitation stations, and we will update this site if any changes occur, so please check back closer to the wedding!
