COVID-19

*insert sighs and eye rolls*

We understand that everyone feels different in regard to Covid-19. We know that there are some people who choose not to wear a mask and some who do choose to. Either way, we are not judging your choice to mask-up or not. At this time, we are not mandating our guests to where a mask except when going through the food line. However, if you would like to wear one at all times, 100% do so. We will have some extra masks on hand for those who may forget theirs or who decide they do want to wear one. We will also make hand sanitizer readily available. Our venue has a great outdoor/indoor flow for everyone to spread out. We will have a table where you can pick up a red pin or yellow pin to show if you want people to keep their distance, no hugs, etc. The food will be buffet style. You will be required to put on gloves (we will provide them) AND wear a mask as you go through to get your food. If you are still uncomfortable with this idea, you are more than welcome to bring your own dinner, we won't be offended. If after all of these precautions, you are still nervous about coming, we understand. We will not feel any different about you if you choose to stay home! However, if you are deciding to sit it out, please let us know:) We hope to see you all very soon and have a great time! xoxo, Lacey and MJ

How We Met

Toward the end of our senior year of high school, I saw MJ's shining face in my twitter DM's. I did not know him even a little bit. He proceeded to spark a conversation and then he asked for my number. He seemed like a nice fella, so I felt bad and sent it to him. Next thing you know, he was texting me. This guy was trying to meet me and texted me all the time. I was heading off to Georgia in about 4-5 months and had absolutely no interest in a boyfriend. I also was not into blind dates with people who slid into my DM's. I politely told him that I wasn't interested and had no further intentions with him. He still wanted to "be friends" but I didn't really know the dude, so I could have cared less (sorry boo). So fast forward to a teammate's graduation party. I of course was there, which was majority of people from my high school and then 3 Bryant boys walk in, and guess who was one of them.... MJ!!! I immediatley face palm because I felt so awkward. HE COMES RIGHT UP TO ME AND SITS DOWN WITH ME!! He says, "so you cut me off because you didn't want a boyfriend but you're seeing someone else?" At the time, I had met this tool and went on a date or two with him and posted a picture with him on instagram, so I knew that's what he was talking about. I DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY. We ended up talking off and on throughout the night. My teammate hosted another party the next weekend and he was back. I had ended that little fling I had going on (boyyyy did I dodge a bullet), and we kinda hit it off. He talked me into a beach date in which I talked his head off. At the time I had a rockin' bod, and he had all of his hair. It was all fireworks from there. We weren't going to "date" because we knew that I would be leaving for Georgia soon, but we decided not to let that be a factor. Our relationship was built on long-distance and I will forever be grateful that. And here we are, 5 years later...
