George and Jenna both attended Saint Joseph’s University, but somehow managed to go four years at the same relatively small school - and even live a block away from each other in Manayunk for two of those years - without ever meeting. That finally changed during second semester senior year at a pregame at Jenna’s house. With only a few months of college left, they met for the first time and quickly realized they had a lot in common. After a few weeks of running into each other and hearing from roommates that the feeling was mutual, George and Jenna started spending more time together. After graduation, life took them in different directions. George accepted a position with Hormel Foods in Cincinnati, while Jenna stayed in Pennsylvania. Rather than let the distance end things before they really began, they decided to make it work. For the next six months, George made the ten-hour drive to Pennsylvania most weekends after work, while Jenna occasionally flew out to Cincinnati to visit him. One of Jenna’s first visits quickly turned into a trip to IKEA after discovering George had been living on a mostly deflated air mattress. Six months later, George relocated to New Jersey, only about an hour from Jenna, and weekends were spent traveling back and forth between New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Around this time, Jenna and George’s mom, Teresa, decided George needed some company during the week and planned to surprise him with the idea of adopting a cat. George went expecting to meet one cat and somehow came home with two - Tiki and Maui. About a year and a half later, another opportunity with George’s company brought everyone to Conshohocken: George, Jenna, Tiki, and Maui. After several great years there, they bought their first home together in Downingtown, where they’ve now lived for over two years. In November 2026, Jenna’s sister Jaclyn invited Jenna and George to a wine tasting at Grace Winery. Jenna thought it was simply a winery outing, not realizing George and Jaclyn had been planning something behind the scenes for months. At the winery, George proposed, with family secretly nearby to celebrate afterward. Since meeting senior year, their life together has been filled with travel, spontaneous adventures, concerts, weekends exploring new towns and restaurants, and nights at home with Tiki and Maui. They’re looking forward to everything still ahead. 🤍
