We actually met on the psychiatric unit at Allegheny Valley Hospital. No we were not patients, we both worked in the hospital. I (Christina) was a Nurse Extern and Cody was a Security Officer. Our relationship seemed to move rather quickly, but it was the right pace for us. Oh how we fell for eachother quickly, myself quicker than Cody, I’m sure. How does one resist a sweet, smooth talking, bright blue eyed man whos eye’s lite up with excitement every time he would tell me about his travels and his years flying in and working on helicopters. Our relationship quickly grew to more than just friends. I fell hard, luckily I wasn’t alone or I probably wouldn’t be writing this right now! Out of our beautiful and blossoming relationship came our perfect little boy Jackson Matthew Clark. Through his birth, I watched the love of my life grow from being a sweet young man to a loving and dedicated father. Through some ups and downs, I am here today as a bride, writing about my wonderful groom. I can honestly say, God answered my prayers when he granted me the opportunity to work with Cody and fall so deeply in love with everything he is. There is no man on earth made more perfectly to fit with me than Cody. God has not only given me the most beautiful family through my birth and the birth of our son, he has also given me the most thoughtful and loving family through this marraige that he has made possible. I continue thank him every single day!
Cody proposed to me on Valentines Day, 2019. He told me we were going to get photos taken for the baby shower registry and had me pick a location to have them taken. We went out to Mt. Washington, on top of the incline with Kristen (Cody’s sister). She was there to take “maternity photos” but while I was looking out at the beautiful view of the city, Cody was getting down on one knee. I turned around to him asking me to spend forever by his side! It was a unforgettable night!
