Technically, yes! We had a small ceremony and signed the marriage license on Oct. 25, 2020, and are having our reception in 2021, so we can celebrate with you all in person!
We would advise against it, if possible - currently, like most city venues, there isn't ample parking available. We know that many people are planning on taking Ubers or shuttles to the wedding. We will keep this updated if there are any changes!
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be the parents' night off! :)
We were lucky enough to exchange our vows during a very intimate ceremony in 2020, and for us, once is enough! We want ourselves and everyone else to be able to focus on celebrating and enjoying one another's company which, for many of us, will be for the first time in a long while.
We have a hotel block at the Hyatt House in Wicker Park, a fun neighborhood that is a quick Lyft away! Also, Airbnbs are always an option if you want a more urban feel.
Rockwell on the River is in Avondale - a quiet neighborhood located on the Chicago River, with Metropolitan Brewing right next door. Bordering East are family-friendly Roscoe Village and classically fun Lakeview (home of Wrigley Field), and to the South is the hip, Brooklyn-esque Logan Square.
