Our love story began in the most modern way possible—through Tinder, of all places. After a few days of talking, we decided to meet for our first date on May 9th. We shared a meal at Ocean Pearl and then took a long walk through the park, talking and laughing until it felt like the world around us faded away. From that day on, we spent as much time together as we could. I tagged along with him at work a few times—my first real glimpse into what he did for a living—which eventually turned into us working cattle together. And if there’s a true test of a relationship, that’s definitely it. We officially became a couple on June 17th, the day before my birthday. On our way to celebrate, we stopped in Telluride, and as we were leaving, we found two perfectly formed eagle feathers. It felt like a beautiful blessing from my mom, watching over and guiding our relationship. Growing up, my mom always joked that one day I would become a Begay—and even after her passing, she was right. That moment in Telluride made her presence feel especially close, like a gentle reminder that she was still cheering us on. Like any great love story, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we’ve always chosen to work through everything together. It may be cheesy to say, but we truly complete each other—his goofiness balances my seriousness, and together we are each other’s missing pieces. On September 22, 2023, our lives changed forever when we welcomed our baby boy, Kolter Jeriko Begay, into the world. Our party grew from two to three—sometimes four when Ali decides to join us. We’ve shared countless adventures, from being stranded in a snowstorm on top of Telluride to traveling to places like South Dakota (twice!), California, and many other unforgettable places. Now, we’re preparing for the greatest adventure of all—married life. We are so excited and incredibly grateful to welcome our family, friends, and loved ones to witness our commitment to one another as we step into this next chapter. I am beyond happy to marry the man of my dreams—the man who completes my heart.
