Somehow, two girls from completely different sides of town became sisters from different parents — to the point where we get told almost weekly that we look like twins. We first met through the animal world when she was a tech at a veterinary clinic I worked closely with through the shelter. Somewhere between helping animals, Monday dog park dates, letting our fur babies run wild, and catching up on life (and yes… occasionally the latest tea), we became very close. What started as friendship quickly turned into work besties, built on loyalty, laughter, handling the chaos thrown at us, and showing up for each other no matter what.
Johnny
Best Man
Meet Johnny — the groom’s brother and lifelong “birth buddy.” Like most brothers, their relationship has consisted of equal parts growing up together, giving each other a hard time, and somehow still always being there when it counts. They may not be the super sentimental type, but there’s a lifelong bond there that only brothers understand. Also, despite knowing each other for literally their entire lives, we somehow do not have a normal photo of the two of them together. At this point, we’re convinced it’s intentional. We’re excited to have Johnny standing beside us on such an important day — and getting a decent picture of them together.
Chesney
Flower Girl
Our flower girl may only be 10, but she already has enough personality to keep all of us on our toes. Equal parts sweet, funny, and just a little bit sassy, she brings so much laughter wherever she goes. Getting to have her be part of such a special day means so much to us, and honestly, we already know she’s going to steal the spotlight at least once. We couldn’t imagine our wedding day without her standing beside us (and probably keeping everyone entertained too).
Tristan
Ring Bearer
Yes, our ring bearer may be a little older — but there was never another option. Tristan is my nephew and has always been “my little guy,” even if he’s somehow now almost my height. Over the years, I’ve gotten to watch him grow from a little dude into such an amazing young man. Tristan is kindhearted, funny, and just mischievous enough to keep life entertaining. He has quite the way of making people laugh and a personality that makes everyone around him love him. Having him stand beside us on such an important day means the world to me, and I truly couldn’t imagine our wedding day without him being part of it.

We kept our wedding party small and simple… mostly because neither of us wanted a production or 17 people standing at the altar. But that being said, we are unbelievably lucky to have the kind of friends and family who show up for us in all the moments that matter — the people who have been there through the chaos, the phone calls, the celebrations, the hard seasons, the random adventures, and everything in between. You know who you are. The people who have become family to us, been with us since childhood, laughed with us until we cried, tolerated our nonsense, hyped up this relationship from the beginning, and loved us individually and together — this day would not be the same without you. ♡
