Sheridan and Kyra’s story began with a simple TikTok message in June of 2024. Not long after, they met for the first time at a thrift store on July 3rd. That night they stayed up talking for hours about Pendleton, the small town Sheridan grew up in and the place Kyra was going to college at the time. Somewhere between those conversations and laughter, something special started to grow. The next day, on the 4th of July at the lake, Kyra tried to get Sheridan’s attention by tossing a small rock next to her in the water—her version of flirting. It was a moment they would laugh about for a long time. From the very beginning, Kyra saw Sheridan for who she truly was. At the time, she didn’t have much—just seven dollars in her account—but she never saw that as a limitation. She saw her heart, her potential, and the life they could build together. Over time she became not only the love of her life, but her very best friend. Kyra has the sweetest soul. Whether it’s a stray animal or someone who needs a little kindness, she believes everyone deserves love and a place to belong. She supports Sheridan in every dream she chases and somehow always manages to make her laugh along the way. One of their most special memories was traveling to Oregon to visit Sheridan’s hometown. Seeing Kyra fall in love with the same places and memories that shaped her childhood made her feel like home had come full circle. On February 23rd, 2025, surrounded by both of their families under a gazebo in Oregon, Sheridan asked Kyra Jacobsen to marry her. It was a moment that reflected everything their story had been about from the start—love, family, and finding home in each other
