Eric and Kyra’s story began in 2006 at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica. At just 12 years old, Kyra confidently walked up to Eric and told him he was going to be her best friend — and without hesitation, Eric enthusiastically agreed. Neither of them knew much about the other at the time, but that simple moment became the start of something unforgettable. From the very beginning, the two were inseparable adventurers. Whether they were walking to the library, exploring the Santa Monica Promenade, playing basketball, pool, or ping pong, Eric and Kyra quickly formed a bond built on laughter, loyalty, and endless fun. Through every stage of growing up, they supported one another — even finding creative ways to talk on the phone whenever one of them got grounded. What started as a childhood friendship slowly became the foundation for a lifelong love story. After their sophomore year of high school, Eric and Kyra became each other’s first loves. But as life began pulling them in different directions and new chapters approached, they did their best to navigate the changes ahead. Eventually, they found themselves living out the cliché: “If you love someone, let them go — and if it’s meant to be, they’ll come back.” And they did. In 2018, Eric sent Kyra a simple text: “Hey stranger!” What was only meant to rekindle a friendship quickly sparked Act 2 of their love story. Since then, they have spent the past eight years adventuring, learning, growing, and building a life side by side. Together, they have continued to push one another, support one another, and love one another through every season of life. Now, after years of friendship, love, growth, and countless adventures, they are excited to begin their greatest chapter yet — forever.
