Why Boone, North Carolina?

Answer

We have come to appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of Appalachia. Boone was our very first trip together. We just knew we would be back.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Right here at the lodge! We have already arranged and covered your accommodations.

How should I get there?

Answer

We recommend flying into Charlotte Douglas International Airport and then driving to the lodge.

When is the actual wedding?

Answer

The wedding itself will be the morning of July 1st, followed by a brunch reception. The afternoon is for activities and snacks!

What do I wear?

Answer

Clothes! While we do plan on dressing up, Dan will not be wearing a suit jacket. Weather permitting, we hope to have the wedding outside. For our “something blue” it would be fun if everyone had something blue to wear. Whether it is a necklace, shirt, or whatever- it is your choice! Don’t forget your swimsuit! There is a hot tub.

Do I need to bring shampoo?

Answer

The lodge provides shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.

Do I need to bring a hair dryer?

Answer

Yes! That is if you have hair you wish to dry faster than the mountain air.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Weather for this time of year typically ranges from 60sF in the early/late hours and eventually hitting low to mid 80sF in the afternoon. Keep in mind we will be located in the mountains so it can become damp/chilled at times.

What is the theme?

This is an Appalachian wedding with a theme of rosemary, lemon, and wood.

What about photos?

Answer

There will be a professional photographer. Tom will be with us the entire wedding day. We will be sure to share the photos with you.

What about your gift registry?

Answer

We don’t have one! We are just happy you are able to join us on our special day. We don’t not expect or ask for any gifts. If there is something meaningful you would like to gift to us, you are welcome to. Otherwise, a donation or time spent with your local food pantry, animal rescue, or foster care organization is always appreciated.
