Our story began on February 10, 2022, with something small and unexpected. A swipe on Tinder. But instead of a simple hello, Matthew sent a message that instantly set him apart. “What is your dad’s number so I can ask his permission to marry you?” It was playful, bold, and just the kind of humor that made me laugh out loud. That single line opened the door to endless conversations the kind that feel easy, natural, and exciting all at once. At the time, Matthew was in Korea, half a world away. You’d think the distance and time zones would make things difficult, but instead, it drew us closer. Nights turned into long calls that stretched into mornings. We learned each other’s quirks, traded stories of our pasts, and shared our hopes for the future. He made me laugh until my cheeks hurt, and even from so far away, he had this way of making me feel safe, seen, and understood. By the time March came and we finally met in person, there were no nerves, no awkward silences. Just a hug that felt like the world falling into place. It wasn’t the beginning of something new, it was the continuation of something that already felt written. From that first moment, life with Matthew has been a blend of laughter and depth. He balances strength with gentleness, and every day with him feels both steady and full of adventure. What began with a joke about calling my dad has turned into a promise , one we’ve lived every day since. Now, from that first swipe in February to the countless memories we’ve created since, we arrive at the most beautiful moment of all. On December 31, 2025, surrounded by the people we love most, Matthew will finally keep the promise tucked inside that very first message and make me his wife. ❤️
