As of now, our wedding day is STILL GOING AS PLANNED. Our venue is not allowing us to discuss further options until we get closer to the day of the wedding. We understand the significance of COVID-19 and we are not going to put our families and friends in danger on the day of our wedding. At this point we are extremely open to rescheduling our wedding, but as of now everything is staying as planned. Please continue to check our website for details or feel free to contact me or Alec at any point in time. We are hoping and praying everything regarding COVID-19 will be over by June, 13. We are staying informed and remain open to changing our original date if things do not get better in the next few weeks.
We met at Redneck Yacht Club in April of 2018. I noticed Alec early on in the night all dressed up in his button up, cowboy hat and jeans. It was a couple hours later I finally got the courage to approach him. After our first dance, I was completely smitten and knew Alec was the one for me. Alec wasn't so sure. Days later Alec came to Norman for our first date that consisted of getting a snow-cone and walking around the OU football field. Alec finally asked me to be his girlfriend after my cousin's engagement party in July and the rest... is history.
Alec had just bought a house and was having what I and everyone else besides our parents and a couple others thought to be a housewarming party. Turns out Alec had picked out the ring months before and planned this day out. Everyone began dancing while Alec's cousin Casey sang and played his guitar when suddenly Alec and I were the only two dancing. Casey continued to play "Ride With Me" by Cody Johnson and I remained completely oblivious to what was about to happen until Alec suddenly pulled away and dropped down on one knee. I was speechless and crying like a baby when I was able to accept the proposal. We can't wait to celebrate our new life together and hope to have each and everyone of you there to celebrate our special day!
