Let's just let the cat out of the bag shall we....we met on the internet! *insert song Computer Love* I went on an internet dating site because of a dare from a coworker and Raheem was the first person I met. I thought I was being catfished or that he must've been crazy because, in my mind, he was too cute to be on a dating site. Our first date was at Applebee's where he preceded to make jokes about my how huge my head was. I must have liked him because I laughed the whole time at his corny jokes. Our next outing was at his Godparent's house. Raheem told me it was going to be a "small gathering" but when we got there, cars were lined up and down the street. "Small gathering" may have been a stretch of the truth! After that, the rest was history and we have spent every day together since. :)

I will forever say he planned and executed this day PERFECTLY because I had no idea. If you know me, you know that I have never been a real fan of Valentine's Day. The day started off pretty rotten - he didn't say Happy Valentine's Day, heck he didn't even say good morning! After work, my mom called and asked what we were doing that evening. I told her we didn't have anything planned but that I was going to show him how to treat people on Valentine's Day and go buy him a gift. My mom agreed but then quickly rushed off the phone. At this point, I was convinced everyone was just being mean. Raheem called not long after and asked did I want to go to dinner. I said yes and he informed me that he had a few errands to run but would be home shortly. My mom called back and asked me to rush to her house. Of course I dropped everything and went, calling Raheem on the way to inform him of the emergency and he said not to worry and that he would meet me there. I get to her house, alarmed. She says nothing is wrong but she is cheesing and acting goofy. I'm confused at this point. She hands me a teddy bear and a cupcake and says "say yes you will eat this cupcake" as she takes a picture. I'm thinking she is off her rocker but I play a long. In the midst of talking, she tells me Heem called and said to meet him at his Godparents' house because we were going to go to dinner with them. So I pack my gifts and head that way. I get to their house and they hand me flowers and a cupcake and say "say yes you will eat this cupcake." I oblige but I'm thinking it must be a full moon at this point. I ask about dinner they say they cannot go because Heem had car trouble and to meet him at his mom's house instead. I go through the same format with his mom and she leads me to Tobias' house. By this point I'm hungry and mad after driving all over the city! I walk in to find Heem at the top of the stairs on one knee with Boys II Men playing in the background. I said YES!
