Lydia and Kylynn's love story began on March 7th, 2013, with the simplest of messages at the most unexpected moment: “Hey (:” That brief greeting sparked something extraordinary, leading to endless conversations, late-night phone calls, and video chats that neither anticipated. Falling in love from a distance was far from ideal—it was a test of patience and longing. But in May of 2015, Lydia took a leap of faith, moving to Oregon to be with Kylynn and solidifying their bond. Together, they nurtured their relationship, growing stronger with each passing year, leading to this beautiful chapter—engaged and soon to be married. Their shared love for travel became the backdrop of Kylynn’s proposal to Lydia. On a beach in Hawaii, under the glow of the city lights, Kylynn arranged candles in the shape of a heart, placed a picture of them inside a glass box, and held a sign that asked the question Lydia’s heart had longed to hear: “Will you marry me?” Without hesitation, Lydia said “YES!” But the magic didn’t end there. Lydia, believing that “every woman deserves a proposal,” planned a breathtaking moment for Kylynn. She whisked Kylynn away on a night helicopter ride over Portland, where the city sparkled below them. As they touched down, Lydia got down on one knee and asked the question they both knew the answer to. Once again, a resounding “YES!” echoed through the night. Now, after a decade of love, growth, and unforgettable moments, Lydia and Kylynn are ready to turn their 10-year journey into a lifelong union. They can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with their closest loved ones in Puerto Rico in June 2025. 💍
