MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY Troy and Kylie had crossed paths many times. They both lived in Straz Tower, they were both studied Biomed, Kylie was an avid fan of Troy's a capella group. It had even been suggested to Kylie that she date Troy a year prior, but it wasn't until Kylie's senior and Troy's junior year that they really met. They were both hired as Teaching Assistants in Gross Anatomy that semester and were luckily assigned to the same teaching section. Kylie was coming off an over-night shift EMTing into their first day TA-ing, so while goofy at baseline, she had no inhibitions. She pleasantly found that Troy jumped right in with the goofiness. There was one extra TA than there were lab groups, so Troy took the chance to double up with Kylie. They spent much of that teaching section laughing together and learning about each other, with a little bit of abdomen dissection. Kylie mentioned how much she needed to go grocery shopping, and Troy was quick to say the same and join in on the grocery trip! That trip to Pick N'Save was much like their teaching session, a lot of laughs, feeling absolutely smitten, and not entirely productive on Kylie's part. When it came time to check out, Kylie had nearly nothing she came to buy, and Troy was just missing balsamic vinegar for a dinner he was planning. Kylie offered that he borrow hers from home, and Troy swiftly said "okay but you'll have to help me make it." So smooth!

Troy sent Kylie a screenshot of a "flight deal" alert to San Fransisco about two months into seeing each other. They flirted with the idea of taking a trip together, sending destination back and forth until March when they didn't just book their first trip together, but a trip internationally! They booked their flights, one Air Bnb, and just figured it out once they got to Ireland. Two weeks wandering the beauties of that friendly, green country, and they just wanted it to last forever. Adventures have become a cornerstone of their relationship traveling to Florida beaches, Colorado mountains, Utah campsites, the Arizona desert, shows in the Twin Cities, and museums in Chicago, and most recently like from that first "flight deal," to San Francisco! (cue engagement ring)
