Historic Downtown Staunton

Historic Downtown Staunton

Staunton, VA 24401

Make sure to explore the charming little town of Staunton (pronounced "Stant-ehn") just minutes down the road from our venue! The historic downtown area is so cute, and is filled with local coffee shops, antiques, and restaurants. Staunton is the birthplace of president Woodrow Wilson, and is home to the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library. Guests who are fans of the arts can also appreciate The Blackfairs Playhouse to view year-round performances of Shakespeare's plays.

Zynodoa Restaurant

Zynodoa Restaurant

115 East Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401

If you're in the mood for a modern twist on Southern comfort food, definitely check out Zynodoa in downtown Staunton! We went for dinner while visiting our venue earlier this year, and we loved it. If you're indecisive like us, don't worry – the dishes are easily able to split between guests, or you can check out the brunch menu on weekends for a more affordable experience.

Shenandoah National Park

Shenandoah National Park

282 Skyline Dr, Waynesboro, VA 22980

One of our favorite places to visit in Virginia is Shenandoah National Park. We highly recommend driving partially along the iconic Skyline Drive, or stopping for a quick hike in the park. The Appalachian mountains are so beautiful, especially during the fall! You will need a National Parks pass to enter, or you can purchase a day pass for $30/vehicle valid for seven consecutive days.

Little Washington

Little Washington

309 Middle St, Washington, VA 22747

For those that may want a brief detour during their travels, we suggest stopping in Little Washington located just outside of NoVa. Little Washington is a quaint town with beautiful manicured gardens and colonial style buildings all belonging to the famous Inn at Little Washington. Although the three Michelin star restaurant may be out of budget for most guests (including ourselves), stop by Patty O's Bakery across the street and enjoy fresh pastries and specialty lattes while you stroll through the picturesque village.
