Our beach wedding awaits

Sarthak asked Kylie out on a coffee date! They first met at Splitlog Coffee in Kansas City. After meeting each other and ordering coffee, they went on a walk at the Berkley Riverfront. They walked the whole trail which overlays the Missouri River and discussed everything from their favorite food to world destinations on their bucket list. Kylie had even brought chocolate chip muffins that she had baked herself which really impressed Sarthak!

During their stroll yesterday they both discussed how Interstellar was peak cinema. Sarthak told Kylie about how the art sculptures at the Kansas City Airport look just like TARS, the tactical robot in the movie. Sarthak could not keep Kylie out of his mind and asked to see her again so that they could go on a drive to see the sculptures! Little did they know that this weekend would change both their lives forever. Fun Fact: They have a joint Spotify playlist, called QuikTrip, which is a compilation of their first date songs. The QuikTrip playlist became a 5-hour-long playlist.

While on an away rotation at the University of Arkansas, Sarthak had the idea of getting a husky. Having a husky had been a dream of Sarthak's since he was a child. Kylie was on board with expanding the family (she did not take much convincing). After lots of research and many inquiries, Kylie & Sarthak drove up to Illinois to pick up Levi. Levi was named after one of Sarthak's favorite characters, Captain Levi Ackerman in the show Attack on Titan. Levi pooped on Sarthak's shoes on the ride home 💩 😂

Sarthak took Kylie on vacation to Margaritaville Island Resort in Mexico with a special plan in mind. He had brought with him a special piece of cargo, a shiny ring from Helzberg Jewelry. After breakfast, Sarthak took Kylie for a walk to the beach pier. He had secretly arranged for a photographer to be on standby. While overlooking the ocean, Sarthak waited for the right moment and then got down on one knee and asked Kylie to marry him!

Sarthak matched Internal Medicine in Kansas City and it was time to get a bigger place. The priority of course was a backyard for the dogs. Their bid was accepted for a home in Prairie Village, KS after they wrote a letter to the owner. Fun Fact: Kylie & Sarthak loaded and unloaded all their stuff into a 26ft UHaul all by themselves. No hired help. This included a full 1000 lb squat rack. After it was all done their backs hurt, but they knew they were a strong team!
