It was 2018 when Kylie and Mickey’s love story first began. Tiffani, Kylie’s sister-in-law, just so happened to be Mickey’s nurse preceptor when he began working at St. Luke’s as an RN. Tiffani mentioned to Kylie, “I work with this guy Mickey, and I feel like you two have similar personalities and would hit it off.” Kylie agreed, and they were set up on a blind date (thank you, Tiffani). After sharing a pitcher of blood orange Sangria, over-priced appetizers, and too many laughs to count- Kylie and Mickey quickly realized they had an undeniable connection. Despite Kylie admitting her significant allergy to dogs and Mickey’s plans to move out west for CRNA school, they decided to see where their relationship went. It wasn’t long before the couple moved into their South Philly apartment together, the place they would call home while Mickey pursued his education at Jefferson and Kylie began working at Penn. Fast forward one year, and surviving living together during a pandemic, Mickey decided it was time for the next step. He planned a trip to Seattle to visit his high school best friend. A 3:30am wake up call and a two hour vertical hike up Mt. Eleanor ended with Mickey down on one knee, on the top of a mountain, asking to spend forever with Kylie. Of course, she screamed "YES!" and her indifference toward sleeping in a tent that night quickly vanished. Now the two are planning their special day in Mexico, and can't wait to celebrate with you all!
