Kylie's Perspective: Gil & I made plans to go kayaking on a Sunday morning (nothing out of the ordinary). It was a beautiful day and great weather to be outside. We ended up docking our kayaks and hiking up to the same lookout point where he asked me to be his girlfriend. As soon as we made it to the top he told me he wanted to set up his GoPro and have a "photoshoot". During our photoshoot Gil got down on his knee and I said yes! Little did I know he also planned an engagement party back at his parents house with some of our friends and family. Including my parents and best friend who flew in to surprise me. It was an amazing day! Gil's Perspective: I knew I wanted to propose to Kylie in a special place. The day came for me to propose and we kayaked to the same location where I asked her to be my girlfriend. The weather was perfect. We hiked up to a spot overlooking the river and everything I had been planning for a month was finally coming to fruition. I knew I wanted to have a beautiful speech before I actually proposed, but when the moment came I was way more nervous than I realized I would be and all I could say was, "Will you marry me?" After she said yes and we celebrated together on the river, we drove back to my parents house where we had some family and friends waiting to celebrate with us. The best part was that I also had Kylie's best friend and parents come surprise Kylie and join in on the celebration. I know it's a day I will never forget.
