Cullen flew south to LA and Kylie hopped in an Uber across town, both heading to the same party in Venice Beach, a party that would bring them together forever. Cullen saw Kylie enter the party and made his first move. After a few quick jokes and some pity laughs from Kylie, Cullen walked away thinking to himself “I crushed it, she's into me”, when in reality Kylie walked away thinking “Well that was interesting, but yay!! New friends”. Their party would then transition to Makai Lounge, a fine, dive-like establishment on the Santa Monica Promenade, where Cullen persisted to garner Kylie’s attention, continually buying her drinks that she continually placed in bushes when he wasn’t looking. With lots of laughs, the two continued to hit it off and connect as “friends” in Kylie’s mind, but Cullen had other plans! From that point on, no Southwest prices or United baggage fees could stop Cullen and Kylie from constantly planning weekend trips to see each other, or destinations to travel too next. Kylie’s fiercely loyal group of friends in Santa Monica embraced Cullen quickly, and Cullen’s group in SF couldn’t believe they ever lived life without Kylie in it. Starting out long distance, Kylie would eventually move north to Palo Alto and in with Cullen, as they soon thereafter used the pandemic to fall further into love, while also sneaking out on adventures and having fun with friends and family. Hottstuff and Cullen we're on a roll. So, once 2021 hit, Cullen had grand plans to surprise Kylie with a proposal back in Santa Monica, where their love story first began. With the guise of a picnic at Will Rodgers Beach, January 9th suddenly became one of the best days of their lives when Kylie said “Yes!!”. We have since moved to Campbell, and have been looking forward to our special weekend ever since. We are elated that you will be joining us and can’t wait to spend time with all of you who have been such an incredible part of our love story. Here We Go!!
