Their story began on a fall evening in October of 2018. The annual OSU Marching Band dance was being held in Columbus. Not being a member of the marching band yet, Kylie was invited to attend by a close friend and member of the band, Nick Routh. Kylie arrived to a pre-dance party with her friend. As soon as she walked into the door, Cody was flabbergasted and infatuated by Kylie. So much so that Cody forgot all about the date he brought and spent the night getting to know Kylie. The more they talked, the more they began to realize just how much they had in common. The night ended and the two went their separate ways, neither one forgetting about that night. This was until February of 2019 when Kylie was asking around for a guitar teacher. Low and behold, Cody was recommended and the two started hanging out. Cody eventually worked up the courage to ask Kylie out after months of being close friends. The rest is history! Little did they know they'd own two dogs and a home with each other. Soon they'd be getting married and planning a life together.

Kylie & Cody were sailing on a beautiful Caribbean cruise. In the middle of the trip, a letter was placed in their cabin stating they had been invited to a cocktail party to meet the captain of the ship. Kylie unknowingly put on a nice dress, as she was told to meet Cody in the Piano lounge for the event. When Kylie walked through the doors, she was greeted by bright letters that read "Marry Me". A red carpet with rose petals led to Cody on one knee holding a breath-taking diamond ring. Kylie was completely shocked and elated. She immediately said yes.
