We met in a college speech class where the bride to be was only a junior in high school, duel enrolled, and the groom was taking college classes while preparing to enter the air force. The bride fell for her groom's (at the time) bleached blonde hair, kind smile, and the way he always complimented her speeches ;) but, unfortunately, only a few weeks in, the groom dropped the speech class, leaving the bride wondering if she would ever see him again..... fast forward to four years later when their love story really began. Like all the typical romance novels, they met again as coworkers selling winter jackets in Florida, and the groom had no recollection of ever meeting his future bride..... But the bride never forgot her future groom, so without wasting much time she asked him out... and he said no... because "he was in the middle of moving into his apartment." She was persistent, asking again the following week. This time he said yes, and from then on "yes" became their word. Yes to all the date nights filled with buckets of chicken wings and sketchy Florida trails, yes to becoming a couple during a time where neither of us were even looking to be in a relationship, yes to all the road trips where we shared stories of our past and made plans for the future, & yes to spending the rest of our lives together as husband and wife. To think, all those years ago in that FSW speech class when the teacher told the class to pair up for a project and the groom to be made eye contact with his future bride and asked "will you be my partner?" he had no idea the weight that question would end up holding.
