FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kylie Cox and Alex Leonard
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We'd like to get RSVPs in as soon as possible so we can get planning under way - please try to have them done by April 25th!

Question

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony space and reception venue are indoors! However, the cocktail hour will be held in a courtyard at the venue weather permitting. There is a designated path and grassy areas with seating, so please keep this in mind when selecting your shoes!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 3:00 pm and we want to make sure no one misses a moment. Please arrive no earlier than 45 minutes to allow everyone to park, find their seats, and settle in before we say "I do."

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, parking is available and free with no time limits! The church has a parking lot with ample spaces for all of our guests. The venue also has an allotted parking lot with plenty of room to accommodate friends and families. There will be attendants on site at the reception to help direct everyone to the courtyard for cocktail hour as well!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us to celebrate! We are suggesting semi-formal attire for the evening. This means dress shirts and pants with a tie/bow tie for men (suit jacket is optional) and cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or dressy skirts and blouses for women. Please keep in mind that while our wedding is indoors, this will be late May in Michigan - it could be sweltering and sunny or chilly and rainy so please plan accordingly and dress in whatever you will feel comfortable in! We do not have a color code, but please no white dresses for women. If you need some inspiration, our wedding colors are green, white, and blush pink, but we would love to see everyone in whatever colors suit them best!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would like to accommodate all of our guests to the best that we can, however due to limited capacity, we can only allow those formally invited. If you received a plus one, it will be addressed on your invitation and RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We would like all of our closest family and friends to be there to celebrate, and this includes children! All children that have been formally invited will be listed on the invitation and RSVP.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking our guests to honor our unplugged ceremony - this means no phones or cameras during the ceremony. This will allow our guests to be in the moment celebrating with us. Our amazing photographer will capture everything and we will be happy to share these photos with you later! Once the reception begins, please feel free to take all the photos and videos you would like!

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

We will be serving Finley's Grill and Smokehouse during our reception. This will include a buffet-style collection of delicious smoked meats and sides. If you have any allergies or need accommodations, please indicate this in your RSVP or reach out to the bride and groom!

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

We will be offering a variety of drinks for our 21-and-up guests! We just ask that you drink responsibly and follow our venue guidelines. We're keeping things relaxed and fun, and there will be plenty for everyone to enjoy!
