Travel Note
For up to date info regarding COVID-19 restrictions in Italy, visit the embassy page at: https://it.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/ Cliff notes version. Italy is being strict about providing proof of vaccination if you wish to go inside museums, restaurants, hotels, or basically anywhere indoors. From my understanding valid proof of vaccination from the US will be sufficient. The embassy specifically mentions CDC "white cards" that everyone gets. I do not know if specific state or city digital proof will be accepted. As things will likely change between now and then, I suggest going by the information listed in the site above. We are going to look into getting an Italian Green Pass since it will likely make things easier while in country. We will update this page afterwards with info to help guests go through the same process if they desire.
Travel Note
Before you will be able to book accommodations or your flight, you will need your passport. If you do not already have a passport, or it will expire, please take care of this ASAP!
Hotel
This is where the wedding ceremony and reception will be held! In order to stay on location, you will need to pay the venue directly for your accommodations. No discount code is required- it will already be included when you book and let them know it is for our wedding! To book, please email the reception desk: villadarteagriresort@gmail.com
Train
From the main transit station in Florence, Santa Maria Novella, you can take a train to Pontassieve. Travel time is about 25 minutes using the train. We are *tentatively* trying to plan some kind of transportation from this station to the Villa, since everyone will have their luggage upon arrival.
Travel Note
You can also travel from Florence close to the venue by taking the bus to stop I Veroni (Pontassieve). There are quite a few route options depending on exactly where you are coming from, so we highly recommend looking up the best route before you leave wifi access.
