We're getting married!

We met in Clemson, SC in October 2012. Kylie was working in the next town over (selling wedding gowns of all things!) and Zack was in Clemson visiting his brother and sister for the weekend. We met up with mutual friends at a local bar and immediately hit it off. At the time, Zack had already moved to the DC area and Kylie was applying to graduate programs there. The stars aligned—Kylie picked George Mason University for grad school and moved to northern Virginia where Zack was more than happy to welcome her to town. The rest, as they say, is history!

On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse crossed the United States and its path of totality cut right across South Carolina. As their families and friends made plans to meet in the Upstate to watch the eclipse, Zack, a lifelong self-proclaimed space nerd, began to hatch a plan. What better time to pop the question than when their closest friends and family were already gathering for an out-of-this-world tailgate party complete with an eclipse themed Spotify playlist, space themed snacks, and eclipse glasses? There isn't one. The afternoon before the eclipse, Zack took Kylie outside to a lovely and quiet spot at his parents' home and sealed the deal. While completely shocked, Kylie managed to say yes and they spent the rest of the trip celebrating with loved ones and watching the absolute coolest phenomenon they had ever laid eyes on (other than each other).

Over the last five years we've been on many adventures together, but we are most excited about the next part of our journey and sharing it with you. You've each played an important role in our lives, shaping us into who we are with your love, support, and friendship. Celebrating our marriage with you will be our most cherished moment yet and we can't wait!
