Great selection of tequilas, even better street tacos.
A hometown favorite with woodfired pizzas and sangria flights - but you definitely need to make a reservation.
Mark and Catherine are two of the nicest people on the planet, and this farm-to-table spot has never disappointed us.. everything is uncomplicated but delicious, with ingredients farmed locally. Make a reservation and come hungry (and tell them Kylie sent you)!
It doesn't look like much, but Jim Thorpe's only 'Dive Bar' has become a recent fave. It's cash only though, so make sure to hit the ATM before you go.
Feeling adventurous? Hit the Lehigh River! Whether you take an organized tour (we like Pocono Whitewater!), or rent kayaks or tubes and go solo, it's a beautiful section of river, especially in July. If you're going solo, let us know - we'll point out great spots to put in and general distances to gauge your activity level.
Here for the weekend? Do a daytrip to Jim Thorpe! Named the "Switzerland" of PA, this town has lots of restaurants, great shopping, cute galleries, historic properties, a train that will take you into the mountains, hiking trails and more. The Mauch Chunk Opera House offers great live music, too!
Palmerton sits at the southern-most part of the Pocono Mountains, but you can venture north for even more mountainous fun! Visit the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau's website for lots of guides on what's happening locally - from casinos to shopping, from hiking to farmers markets... and more!
Located at the historic Bethlehem Steel, the Steelstacks are now home to some of the best live music in the Lehigh Valley. Head to https://www.steelstacks.org/events/concerts/concerts-free/ to check out the free concerts they host all summer long, plus other festivals and activities they have underway!
The Lehigh Valley and Pocono region is home to a TON of wineries - which usually also partner with food trucks (although many are BYOF - 'bring your own food') and live music on the weekends! We recommend doing the tasting menu at any of them - find something you like and then stay for a glass! Our favorites: Galen Glen, Cellar Beast, Weathered Vineyards, Blue Mountain Vineyards, Big Creek Vineyards, & Black River Farms
If spirits are more your speed, check out Eight Oaks! Chad (the owner) and his crew are salt of the earth people and everything is locally grown - sit outdoors with a firepit, play a round of cornhole, or just sip a great cocktail! This spot offers great food from Tre Locally Sourced, too.
