Our Story

First comes baby, then comes marriage!

It all started at a concert called Christmas Burns Red. My brother had an extra ticket, so I tagged along—and that’s where I met him. At the time, he was my brother’s friend (and boss!) and we were both in other relationships, so our connection was nothing more than a little friendly banter on Facebook. Fast forward three years… we were both single, and he asked me out on a date to a cute little diner. From there we basically spent the rest of the night driving and talking. A couple weeks later, he invited me to be his date for his dad’s wedding. That “weekend trip” turned into me never really leaving—we just clicked that quickly. From the start, concerts have been a big part of our story, and over the years we’ve become the best concert buddies—always ready to sing, dance, and headbang side by side. About a month into dating, he asked my son if it was okay for him to be my boyfriend. My son said yes, and from that moment we truly became a team. Six months later, we found out we were expecting our own little boy. On our one-year anniversary (and while I was nine months pregnant), he brought me back to the spot where we had our first date. As we waited for our food, I suddenly went into labor pains. While I was on the phone with my doctor, in between contractions, he pulled out a ring and proposed! Talk about timing. And now, here we are—a family of four, ready to make it official and say “I do.”
