We had been going to the same young adult life group for a little while, but we hadn't actually formally met until December 14th, 2023 at our life group Christmas party. When I first met Victoria the very first thing I noticed was what I like to call, "her little light". That beautiful smile, her obvious faith in God, and her amazing sense of humor. We bonded quickly with quick wit and humor, and the games that they had at the party. Getting to know her that night I knew I needed to get to know her even more. Over the next few months as we did get to know each other I knew that she would inevitably be the one for me. God and so many special moments have brought us to where we are today and we're so excited to enter this new chapter together.

Kyle had worked up the courage to ask me out one night, to which I very flirtly responded, "Maybe." After which I proceeded to freak out with my friend Ava that the guy I had come to this event to see asked me out. Though I was very excited I also started to get very nervous and I didn't want to get my hopes up. I texted Kyle that we could go out but just as friends…The day of our "friend date" arrived. I knew I was in trouble when I started getting really excited about meeting Kyle later for dinner. He had made us dinner reservations at Firebirds and I knew that my "friend date" idea was one sided, but he respected my wishes. We met for dinner and I could barely eat I was so nervous. Come to find out we both have way bigger appetites than what we saw from each other on that first date. I also didn't know that Kyle couldn't have gluten and since he was just as nervous as I and I handed him a piece of bread he proceeded to eat it and pay for it the rest of the night. We got to learn about each other over dinner and had a nice time. It was after dinner that we decided to walk around the mall together. While walking around Kyle and I proceeded to have some very deep and meaningful conversations that exceeded first date, "what's your favorite color?" topics. I learned very early on just how genuine, honest, and kind Kyle was. After the date was done I smiled all the way home... I haven't stopped smiling since.
