A study found that 86% of women who make the first move ultimately end up marrying the person. Well, I guess Kyle and Mary are a part of that statistic… The two of them grew up less than a mile from one another, went to the same high school, and even had some of the same friends, but somehow never crossed paths. Working under the same roof, wearing masks, during COVID-19 times at AAA, is where they find each other. In the lunchroom, at AAA Long Beach, a newly hired Mary would ask an also newly hired Kyle to sit with her. They would find countless commonalities between the two of them, the biggest one being their love for the LA Dodgers, and at their first Dodger game together is where they realized they wanted to make this spark between them something more... But they wouldn't admit this to each other for quite some time. Kyle is happy that Mary dared to ask him to sit down for lunch that day in the office. Little did Kyle know what he was getting himself into, like their hashtag says, he got "Mary'd". And it is safe to say Mary got "Kyle'd" too, but that doesn't sound as cute. The two of them wish they had met each other sooner, but they ultimately believe they met at the right time to make their love last. That day in the lunchroom was when fate had decided they had lived long enough without each other. Mary could not help but stop Kyle and ask him to lunch, N95 mask and all. Kyle successfully pushed Mary out of her comfort zone and gave her the freedom to be fun and silly again in ways she would never imagine. Mary gives Kyle the freedom to be himself and the feeling of absolute love and affection he always dreamed of in a partner. Together, they were able to find love, friendship, and a partner within each other that will always allow for an adventure, no matter what they do.
