Whether it was coincidence, destiny, or the alignment of stars, the universe continuously brought Kyler and Nayelli together. They were in the same first grade class, Kyler's mom was Nayelli’s second grade teacher, Kyler even met Nayelli’s parents as a kid when his grandpa took him to the meat market. Little did they all know those young kids would end up falling in love 9 years later. Kyler and Nayelli became close friends in middle school and began dating in 2014, their sophomore year of high school. Kyler was brave enough to spend time with Nayelli and her family at little league softball games all summer and they have been inseparable ever since. Through high school, traveling to Europe together, completing college degrees, getting their first adult jobs, and moving to a new state together, they have never stopped loving and encouraging one another. Together they have experienced joy, excitement, sadness, and hardship, but have never left each other's side. Kyler finally asked Nayelli to marry him on a chilly October night in 2022. He picked out a ring, a dress for her to wear, and had a beautiful set-up in the downtown Denver clocktower.
